Dear students,
we are looking for about 20 student assistants to help us with the organisation of the DAGStat 2025, the biggest German Statistics conference (ca. 800-1000 participants), taking place every three years. The upcoming conference will take place 24-28 March 2025 in the main building UL6 (and Dorotheenstr. 24+26) of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. This will be a unique opportunity for students to look behind the scenes of such a big scientific conference, see also dagstat2025.de.
The contract will be for the month of March 2025 - so ideal as a job during the semester break - probably for 40 hours, with Humboldt Innovations, a subsidiary company of HU, see https://humboldt-innovation.de/en, but in analogy to the usual salary for student assistants at HU.
We are seeking student assistants to support the smooth operation of the conference. Responsibilities will include assisting with the registration of participants, staffing presentation rooms to address any technical issues, answering attendee questions, transporting and setting up poster boards, and performing other similar tasks as needed. Your support will be essential in ensuring the success of the event and creating a positive experience for all participants.
Applications including a letter of motivation and a CV must be submitted within the specified deadline via email to:
Applicants are kindly requested to include information about their social situation in the application. To promote gender equality, applications from qualified women are particularly welcome. Applicants with severe disabilities will be given preference in cases of equal qualification. Applications from individuals with a migration background are expressly encouraged.
